Welcome to the Maine Developmental Disabilities Council
We are committed to creating a Maine in which all people are valued and respected because we believe communities are stronger when everyone is included.
To do this, we create and support policy advocacy for individuals with developmental disabilities.
Did you miss out on the Webinars this summer?
EMPOWERED TOGETHER:
CLASS SERIES ON HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS & SEXUAL HEALTH FOR PEOPLE OF ALL ABILITIES
A 5-week virtual class series about
healthy relationships and sexual health
for people with intellectual and
developmental disabilities, ages 18+.
Webinars are led by a Mad Hatter Wellness
educator and a Self-Advocate peer educator.
Open to all; however, we encourage anyone aged 18+ living in Maine with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities to watch and start a discussion with those around them.
We encourage parents and support persons to observe or join in as needed with those you care for.
