DRC has received many calls and already have numerous cases regarding reduction in staffing hours due to the median staffing level reviews for people on the Home & Community based (Section 21) Waiver. The Department reported that they have approximately 200 appeals at this time. The Office of Advocacy is also receiving calls and representing individuals in the appeals process.
Clearly, we cannot help 200 people with appeals in this short amount of time, but we would like to assist people through this process by offering some training and training materials.
